WHAZZZZUP!!!!!

There was a “brawl” at an eight years olds hockey game last week. Who’s to blame? The kids, their parents, the coaches, the entire organisation? It’s a tough question to answer. A number of people are playing down the incident, saying it was a minor skirmish and nothing major happened, no one was hurt yadda yadda yadda. That’s a bogus argument when it comes to eight year old children. And that’s exactly what they are, CHILDREN!!! There isn’t one individual or organization that is to blame, it’s the fault of our society in general. It goes beyond hockey and a game. It goes to what we are teaching our kids today. What is right and wrong, what is acceptable and what isn’t. When I sit at home and watch grown men pounding each other into oblivion in front of hundreds and sometimes thousands of screaming fans during an mixed martial arts fight, I think of the Roman gladiators and what they did for entertainment.  How long before we actually see someone die on live television? You may think I’m crazy for saying something like that, but think about it. We watch people get blown to bits on the news everyday, and it’s accepted. We see the aftermath of suicide bombings with all the blood and gore, body parts everywhere. And we think nothing of it. The internet if full of videos of kids beating each other senseless. What’s next? I hate to think about the possibilities.
